Client Story
Wanted Vintage
Webdesign
Wanted Vintage is a second-hand and vintage clothing store rooted in hip-hop culture. Curating pieces that carry history and speak to a community that values authenticity over trends.
Challenge
The challenge here was to think beyond convention. The client wasn't looking for a typical layout or a straightforward commercial website, which meant leaving behind most of the familiar frameworks that usually guide these decisions. Without the goal of driving direct sales, the usual measures of success didn't apply. That required a different way of thinking about what a website is actually for, and what it can be when it's freed from that expectation.
Goal
The goal was to create an experience rather than a storefront. Instead of guiding visitors toward a purchase, the site was designed to communicate who Wanted Vintage is, their aesthetic, their roots in hip-hop culture, and the attitude that defines the brand. A space that felt less like a shop and more like an extension of the culture they're part of.
A website that feels like a sketchbook.
The result is something that's hard to put in a box, which is exactly the point. The site feels less like a website and more like a sketchbook: raw, deliberate, and unmistakably Wanted Vintage. From the first scroll, the culture is there. The attitude is there. Visitors don't need to be told what the brand is about, they feel it immediately. An unconventional brief led to an unconventional outcome, and that's what makes it work.
