Client Story
SV Ehlen
Webdesign - Webflow Development
SV Ehlen is a multi-sport club from Northern Hesse – from the football pitch to the sports hall. A club that brings together village life, volunteers, and community, and sees sports first and foremost as a way for people to connect.
Challenge
The challenge was to turn the club’s diversity into a clear and intuitive structure. The old website was more of an information dump than a digital home base: hard to navigate, not really mobile-friendly, and difficult for volunteers to keep up to date. At the same time, the club’s character, down-to-earth, approachable, rooted in the region, shouldn’t disappear behind an overly polished corporate look.
Goal
The goal was to create a website that feels like the club’s digital clubhouse. Members, parents, and interested visitors should quickly find what they need: training times, contacts, news, and events. At the same time, the club needed a foundation that’s easy to maintain, grows with new sports departments, and gives sponsors a visible presence, without anyone having to fight their way through complex systems.
A website that feels like a clubhouse.
The result is a website that doesn’t feel like a box to tick, but like a natural part of club life. The structure meets visitors where they are: clearly separated departments, obvious entry points for members and newcomers, and content that works just as well on a phone as it does on a laptop. Visually, the club stays true to itself. Colors, typography, and imagery pick up on the regional and down-to-earth character without feeling outdated. The appearance is more modern, but the roots are still visible.
This project was one of Janick’s first client projects and because he’s part of the club himself, he took on everything from concept to final build.
